Northline Consultancy (Merk Digital LTD.) is not a broker or intermediary. We are a principal buyer. We acquire companies through the support of our lending partners and utilize debt financing to complete acquisitions.
How long does Northline Consultancy hold its investments?
Northline Consultancy is a long-term investor. We do not flip investments or rely on short-term financial tactics to generate returns. Our focus is on sustained growth and long-term value creation.
How long will it take to sell my company?
On average, we aim to fund and close transactions within 30 to 90 days after signing a letter of intent (LOI). The exact timeline may vary depending on due diligence and deal specifics.
What changes will Northline Consultancy make to my company?
Northline Consultancy will not take over day-to-day operations. The existing management team remains in charge, and we work as a strategic partner to support improvements and long-term success. All decisions are made collaboratively with leadership.
Does Northline Consultancy provide any guarantee for seller-financed deals?
No. In seller-financed deals, if Northline Consultancy is unable to continue payments for any reason, company shares will be returned to the seller. Sellers retain the option to buy back shares at any point, ensuring full transparency and control.
Is there any collateral?
Yes. We secure a down payment commitment letter from one of our lending partners. This letter indicates that the lender is prepared to provide financing—subject to standard underwriting requirements—based on the strength of the business and borrower.
What’s a business promissory note?
In some cases, we may sign a promissory note, which is a formal agreement to repay a loan. This can be used to structure parts of the acquisition financing when appropriate.
How does Northline Consultancy add value to the companies it acquires?
Our level of involvement depends on the unique needs of each business. At times, we serve as an outsourced CFO, business development team, or strategic advisor. In all cases, we maintain an active and supportive board presence, offering the benefit of our collective experience to help companies grow and thrive over the long term.
